Seed Sowers Kids Club
Seed Sowers Kids Club is a fun and exciting way for children of the incarcerated to spend a Saturday morning. At Kids Club children in kindergarten through fifth grade experience God’s love through exciting Bible adventures, awesome crafts, tasty treats, cool songs and amazing games. Meanwhile caregivers are given a morning off so they have time to catch up – and catch their breath. As they drop the children off, each caregiver is given a special gift to show them that Seed Sowers recognizes and appreciates the sacrifices they are making to provide these special children with a loving home through a difficult situation.
Kids club began as an idea that caregivers needed a break. Caregivers take over when parents are incarcerated, often for years. One Saturday per month these special step-in parents can count on a morning off – a time to refresh and renew.
Meanwhile, in Kids Club, kids are having a blast. Each Kids Club event consists of a song and drama time with exciting skits, great laughs and memorable stories. Then the children get to participate in a number of activities. This program is by invitation only for children identified by Seed Sowers ministry. This gives us a unique opportunity to minister to crimes’ youngest victims. As we model Christ’s love to these children we hope to show them another way – the way that leads to Christ. We also hope to invite each child into a personal relationship with God, the Heavenly Father who will never leave them nor forsake them.
Get Involved
Volunteer
Would you like to participate in Kids Club and provide friendship and leadership to children of the incarcerated? Perhaps you have wanted to get involved with prison ministry but aren’t comfortable with the idea of stepping into a jail. Perhaps your time is limited. Kids Club is offered at a local church and meets one Saturday per month. Your commitment varies based on the role you take. There are many ways to serve in kids club and a follow up program allows us to keep up with the children between club meetings.
